PrivatE Flight Story
The company was established by Richard Pryor, an experienced professional in private aviation who recognised first-hand the recurring frustrations experienced by all operators, flight departments, and crew when coordinating inflight catering. The process was often manual, opaque, and very inefficient, marked by pricing surprises, miscommunication, and inconsistent standards.
Drawing from years of operational insight and VVIP/UHNW client experience, including onboard the largest and most prestigious private aircraft in the world, Richard envisioned a centralised, technology-driven platform purpose-built for the needs of private aviation. His goal was clear: to reduce complexity, increase cost transparency, and deliver a higher standard of service across every flight.
This vision led to the creation of the Private Flight Catering Management Platform in 2008, a powerful yet intuitive tool that modernises catering coordination and ensures the Operator remains in control.
It was a first-of-its-kind, cloud-based solution that centralised and streamlined the entire catering workflow.
Now headquartered in Switzerland, and with a network of over 2,000 caterers, hotels, and restaurants across 175+ countries, Private Flight has grown into the world’s leading independent catering management platform in private aviation, trusted by many of the world’s most discerning clients ranging from government fleets, management and charter operators to freelance crew, and now global cargo carriers.
